Round Table is a “social club with a conscience” for young men between the ages of 18 and 45.

Caterham Round Table has around 20 members, from various walks of life, and meets twice a month – usually at the Surrey National Golf Club

Typical meetings start with the members gathering in the venue's bar between 7.30 - 8pm followed by dinner. After which we discuss up and coming events, distribution of monies raised to various charities and local individuals.

This is usually followed by an entertaining speaker. Recently speakers have visited covering such diverse subjects as the history of Formula 1 in photographs, wine tasting, and Sports Massage.

Meetings are held at other venues too. This year we will be clay pigeon shooting, canoeing, and 10 pin bowling to name a few.

Table is not all about dry (!) meetings, however. Last year Caterham Round table had fun raising over £40,000 in charity funds. We are the guys who run the Caterham Firework display on the Dene Field. We host a 650 seat Charity Themed Ball in January each year. We run the Pimms Tent at the Caterham Carnival. And we all have a blast doing it!

Much of the money that we raise goes to local charities. In fact Marden Lodge School received a health contribution towards the swimming pool development as a result of our extremely successful “Out of Africa” themed Ball last January.

Round table is open to all men between the ages of 18 and 45, and we would like to invite any of the local population in this bracket to visit table to see what it is really all about. We will even buy you your first dinner!!

Please visit our website www.caterhamtable.com, or call Graeme Jones, Chairman, on 01883 342 683, or Warren Gilbert on 0208 668 7573 for further information or to arrange to come along.

WHAT IS THE WORST THAT CAN HAPPEN??

"When I first joined table, I was a bit daunted by the number of people around the table both in terms of ages and personalities. It didn't take long for me to realise it wasn't cliquey or exclusive but just a bunch of blokes with the same outlook as me, only some where slightly louder!."
