A big thank you is owed to everyone who attended this year's Party In The Park Caterham on May 10th.
A great day was had by all . Organising such a big event would not have been possible without the expert and extra help we recieved from Tandridge Licensing Office and also Tandridge Enviromental Office and of course the local Community Police team, Leesa, Rupert and Nick.
Big thanks to our local sponsors and an even bigger Thank You to John at Kitt's Scaffolding, who dontated his time free,Andy Parr, The Bands, Scream Studio and the whole team at Marden Lodge School + Kestrels Children's Centre.
The whole day just proved the point we were trying to make - family days out don't have to be expensive and can be trouble free.
Everyone who attend was well behaved and even used the bins provided making our job at the end a lot easier.
Of course we would also like to thank you for the publicity you gave this event.
Now for the more important question................................................ Would we do this again? YOU BETCHA ! see you all at Party in the Park Caterham 2009

Caterham Party In The Park Organisers !
Surrey Police Band to open proceedings....
Surrey`s Finest will be kicking off the fun packed day at this years Caterham Party in the Park. As a military band, the band is made up of brass, woodwind and percussion instruments. They play music in arrangements that suit this combination of instruments which varies from traditional military marches to more modern pieces such as film themes.

The Party in the Park event will take place on Marden Lodge School Field , Croydon Road, Caterham, Surrey CR3 6QH, we would like you to come along and see our new community building for yourself.

Tickets are very limited and it is suggested you buy asap.

The event will kick off at 3pm with Surrey`s very own police band and will continue with the free children's workshop throughout the afternoon and early evening (Dont be late as numbers are limited).

Throughout the day you will expect to see bands from all genres of music. The bands, who range from youth to YOUR age !!! will hopefully have you dancing or at least tapping your feet to some very familar sounds.

Please remember no pets will be allowed.

Beer tent will ask for id from anyone appearing to be under 21 years of age so be warned if you dont look older than 21 bring your id.

We would like to encourage people to bring some form of seating should it be a blanket or deck chairs for your own comfort - save your feet for dancing.

Picnics are very welcomed - please remember to remove your rubbish and dispose of it in bins provided.

Please be aware that as this major event takes place on our school site a No Smoking Policy will be in place.

There is no parking within the school grounds therefore parking is off road - please be considerate to our neighbours when you leave the venue.

Tribute Blues Band Says :
"We`ll give life and soul to your party" London based Tribute Blues band will be attending this years party event, with them they bring not only Jake & Elwood but also a full horn section, driving rhythm section and backing singers.

London`s very own Heart Radio will be in attendence partying the afternoon away plus giving away spot prizes to those lucky enough to attend Caterham`s biggest party event.

The Marden Lodge bbq will be ready to meet your hunger needs throughout the day as well as our "Stars in The Bar" adult only gazebo selling alcoholic beverages and our children's soft drink & sweetie bar .

There will be a flashing light / necklace stall and also some inflatables toys on sale, just so that you truly feel part of the fun.

There is no extra charge for the children's bouncy castle or face painting as we believe the event should be kept low cost to encourage familys to take time out together and hopefully see what a wonderful setting Marden Lodge School and Kestrels Children's Centre have to offer the local community.

Marden Lodge and Kestrels Children's Centre have been picked to be the Caterham Carnival's benefieries this year and will recieve a donation at the end of the carnival celebrations. Of course we will be donating some of our proceeds to the carnival fund as we believe its good to give as well as recieve.
